Fox Robotics is developing a full perception stack and solution for fully autonomous industrial vehicles starting with retrofitted forklifts and expanding into other markets over time. The industry’s shift to automation will improve equipment utilization of facilities and vehicles as well as further drive the transition from propane-powered forklifts to fully electric. Shifting from human driven forklifts to automated forklifts enables significant secondary energy savings: automated warehouses and distribution centers require little to no HVAC and less lighting (a combined 40%+ energy savings opportunity) on top of the considerable gains from electrification and increased asset utilization.
