Muon Space is building a remote sensing constellation of multi-tenant, multi-modal satellite sensors to gather more types of climate and weather data at higher spatio-temporal resolution and quality than any existing system. Mitigation and adaptation to avert catastrophic climate impacts will require a revolution in climate and weather data and forecasting that exceeds the capabilities of existing systems; today’s satellite constellations gather data in limited modalities and are lacking in granularity and quality, creating an information gap for both industry and government. Muon will enable customers to take unprecedented data-driven action on climate change by offering turnkey “mission-as-a-service” (MaaS) contracts.
